We staged a luxury lake property. This property was on a beautiful lake, was well maintained and had many amenities. It was a family, friends and kid friendly property. The challenge was that this family retreat, in a family area was only occupied on week ends, vacations and holidays. The stress of maintaining the staged look after a week end of family fun was the challenge.
What we did was purchase for the family baskets and containers, lots and lots of baskets and containers. Toys were kept in containers that would slide under the bed, personal items were contained in small baskets that could be hidden away but when needed could be pulled out and set on a counter for easy access.
There was also an abundance of lake retreat flip flops, towels and water toys. Although there is an expectation that these types of properties will house these items, they cannot distract from the property's square footage, amenities, character and possibilities and the potential buyer needs to be able to envision themselves in the space. I think you can see that we accomplished the right mix of staged to sell, cozy luxury lake retreat and a stress free environment that the family can enjoy until the property sells.
