Remodeling magazine reports every year that a kitchen remodel generates one of the largest returns, 76-79 percent, on the investment. If your kitchen needs a better look, but you can't afford a complete kitchen remodel, consider these eight fixes to help sell your home faster and for more money:
· Replace the countertops, sink and fixtures to modernize the kitchen.
· Replace linoleum or vinyl flooring with ceramic tiles.
· Paint or re-stain worn wood cabinets.
· Install cabinet hardware, if you don't have any, or replace or paint any outdated hardware.
· Remove outdated or busy wallpaper and any bold, bright or personal paint choices.
· Keep all countertops free and clear of appliances, butcher blocks and knickknacks.
· Remove pet food bowls, scatter rugs and garbage cans from view.
· Keep the kitchen sparkling and smelling clean daily.
