Very Interesting Web Site.

Needs some expansion but good.

Since before and after pictures are just eliminating and moving things around; Why not put cameras on a tripod

leaving them in the same position for an accurate but true comparison.

Anne and Deb I agree. We certainly don't want to mislead anyone about the cost. The figure we gave came from the study done by HomeGain. As you know, rates and services vary a great deal. This statistic is based on an average. At the same time, it is important for home sellers to note that a general consultation isn't expensive - especially when you consider the value. The difference between a consultation and full staging service is that in a consultation a professional simply tells you some things that need to be done. In a full staging service the staging professional does the actual work of staging the home for you. Since our $150 figure doesn't mention a consultation we are going to clarify it in the news story. (Thanks)

As far as the message, it remains the same. The value a stager brings is well worth the investment (Home Gain says 343% return). Regardless of what a stager charges in different areas, home sellers should consider ALL the services a stager offers. Ultimately, the value they bring, when people hire a good one, is well worth it.

I agree with Anne. I was very surpirsed to see the cost of staging a home of $500. If I staged homes for this price, I'd be out of business. Staging occupied homes in my area (PA) can range anywhere from $800 - $1200. Vacant homes range from $1200 - $3000.

I hope the fiures given for the fee a stager charges are for simple decluttering or consultation report.. Staging a vacant home, or redesigning an occupied home can cost much more than $500.. We don't want to mislead anyone!..

1. Hire a good Realtor

2. Hire a home stager (a great return on your investment!)
