how do i become a successful real estate agent

i am a real estate salesperson. i haven't practiced yet. i'm still searching on what company i want to join. and i must join these associations. i never sold anything in my life. how can i be successful. any suggestions

Alisa, the first thing you're going to need to do is learn as much about being a successful agent as possible. Find a mentor, sign up for training classes, learn from your broker, read a lot of articles on the web, etc..

Keep in mind that you're entering real estate at a time that a lot of agents are leaving.  It's a tough market and to be successful you're going to have to work that much harder.  Also, brush up on your writing skills so that you can communicate effectively on blogs, email campaigns, forums, etc.

Interview at least three different Real estate companies which gives you a good idea of their business standards. Start your search with a Real Estate companies that have a lot of different training classes for beginners.Some Realty companies have Trainers/mentors only for beginners that they teach how to find clients, what to say, how the transaction and real estate business flows...
