You KNOW you have it!!!!

When staging occupied homes, I ALWAYS find exactly what I am looking for...just not in the place I need it.  This recent project, was no exception.   In the unstaged living room (Picture 1), I saw a mirror that was obviously WAY too big for the area.  (See Picture 2 for the staged room).  I then walked into the family room and saw the huge blank wall (Picture 3) and immediately visualized the mirror there.  I realized that I would need to anchor that space - had a fleeting moment of "but I don't have anything appropriate in my inventory".  Oh but when I walked upstairs I saw the black lacquered pieces!!  They looked to be one piece but I had that "knowing" feeling that they were stacked!!!!!  As you can see, they were the perfect length!! 

For the family room, I also used the glass top from the seller's dated coffee table and placed it on an ottoman that was in a corner of the living room, brought in a chair and accessories from my inventory, took down the sheers, and voila!!!  I LOVE staging!!!!

Great job Lynn - I love the way the room flows and all the colors and accessories go nice with the style of the furniture.  Nicely done and it is nice when you can use what the homeowner already has. Nice job!

Lynn, this is a great transformation. That's the beauty of home staging - being creative with what we have at hand. You have given a great example of what it means putting the right pieces into the right place.
