Dark wall color and linoleum flooring make this small vacant bedroom dated and dingy. The demographic of this neighborhood is first time home buyers.

Bedroom After:

Inexpensive neutral carpet and warm beige walls make this now a bright, cheery bedroom.
Although the bedroom was staged with a young girl in mind, the neutral wall and carpet colors make this room move-in ready for any gender.
Want to know how to make the "Faux" bed?
Here's what you'll need:
- 6 file size cardboard boxes (you can get them at any office supply store)
- 2 twin size inflatable mattresses (Target and Walmart are the cheapest and they go on sale occassionally for $10 each)
- 1 twin size bed in a bag
- pillows
- Put the boxes together and line up 2 - 2 - 2 from top to bottom of bed (this will be your "frame")
- Blow up one of the inflatables and place on the "frame"
- Put bedskirt on first mattress now your "boxspring"
- Blow up second mattress place on skirted "boxspring"
- Make bed as usual (you won't need sheets unless you turn the comforter down)
I also keep little tent signs on the beds that say "for display only, please do not sit" in both English and spanish so buyers know it's not to sit on. You can do this with full and queen size beds too.
