Replace any siding that’s in poor condition. If the siding can be painted or cleaned by power washing, do that to limit the cost. If mold is growing on the siding, remove the mold using a solution of bleach and water. If prospective buyers see dirty or ruined siding, they’ll start thinking about all the work they’ll have to do to make it look nice again. You’d like buyers to see themselves moving into your home, not thinking about the work it would take to make it presentable. You probably don’t want to have to give the buyer an allowance at closing for something you can so cost effectively and easily address yourself prior to the sale.
